I received the current issue of the BGSU Magazine approximately two months after the passing of my father and I was pleased to read about the topic for showcase.
I wished I had the chance to better organize my thought at his celebration of life. I am excited to share my thoughts now.
1. To share the passion of your faith.
2. To share and show the passion that is in your heart.
3. To be impeccable with your words.
4. To treat others as you wish to be treated.
He was a quiet man who stated “One doe not have to say a lot to mean a lot.”
That was the life lessons that I learned from my father.

GLASS OF MILK
One day, a poor boy who was selling goods from door to door to pay his
Way through school, found he had only one thin dime left, and he was
hungry.
He decided he would ask for a meal at the next house. However, he lost his
nerve when a lovely young woman opened the door.
Instead of a meal he asked for a drink of water! . She thought he looked
hungry so brought him a large glass of milk. He drank it so slowly, and
then asked, How much do I owe you?"
You don't owe me anything," she replied. "Mother has taught us never to
accept pay for a kindness."
He said ... "Then I thank you from my heart."
As Howard Kelly left that house, he not only felt stronger physically,
but his faith in God and man was strong also. He had been ready to give
up and quit.
Many year's later that same young woman became critically ill.
The local doctors were baffled. They finally sent her to the big city,
where they called in specialists to study her rare disease.
Dr. Howard Kelly was called in for the consultation. When he heard the
name of the town she came from, a strange light filled his eyes.
Immediately he rose and went down the hall of the hospital to her room.
Dressed in his doctor's gown he went in to see her. He recognized her at once.
He went back to the consultation room determined to do his best to save her
life. From that day he gave special attention to her case.
After a long struggle, the battle was won.
Dr. Kelly requested the business office to pass the final bill to him for
approval. He looked at it, then wrote something on the edge, and the bill
was sent to her room. She feared to open it, for she was sure it would take
the rest of her life to pay for it all. Finally she looked, and something caught
her attention on the side of the bill. She read these words ...
"Paid in full with one glass of milk"
(Signed) Dr. Howard Kelly.
Tears of joy flooded her eyes as her happy heart prayed:
"Thank You, God, that Your love has spread broad through
human hearts and hands."
There's a saying which goes something like this:
Bread cast on the water comes back to you. The good deed you do
today may benefit you or someone you love at the least expected time. If you never see the deed again at least you will have made the world a better place - And, after all, isn't that what life is all about?
Now you have two choices.
1. You can send this page on and spread a positive message.
2. Or ignore it and pretend it never touched your heart.
The hardest thing to learn in life is which bridge to cross and
which -- To burn .

But I tell you: Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be sons of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. If you love those who love you, what reward will you get? Are not even the tax collectors doing that? And if you greet only your brothers, what are you doing more than others? Do not even pagans do that? Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect. Matthew 5:44-48 NIV

Monday August 9 wound doc and STRS
Today I am going to the wound doctor. I have been told by many nurses that this wound is healed what is he thinking? He seems to go by what his nurses tell him.
So many of the nurses aids call me by my last name and I constantly ask to address me by my first, It happpened again and the roomate asked why they have to go through this and I thought untill they get it right.
All public pensions have been under investigation by all Ohio newspapers including STRS. I have heard that story in the past and I did not think it could be true.

SWEETHEART
BO or Kent now always stops by when he drives from DC to Lansing. We met through Match.com a few years ago when both fathers were living and his mother as well.
I was living in Toledo. Te first met face to face was at an Aplebees resturaunt. I also had ticket to a broadway show.
I have saved every email exchange after speaking with him a few times; he is a special man and we ended every conversation in prayer.
His journey led him to become a minister as well as an educator. He lost the teaching position because he was accused of sharing the BIBLE in the classroom.
I will write more soon.

Illiterate
So many kids now are Bible illiterate.
We must teach everyone to bend and submit to His will.

Another reason
Another reason why I am not comfortable is due to the hurry up and wait mentality as well as one is always asking people to go to the bathroom. I understand that with those who are elderly.

CONSITANCY
Ever since I was diagnosed with MS I was told to be consistant with everything. It is hard now living at the Northwestern Healthcare Center. It is not working. I keep on trying.
My friends have remained consistant along with my faith, beliefs and memberships such as Ohio Education Association.
Since I have been reesearching places to live in the Toledo area it has been a challenge. I even called Dr Milller . It looks like I will have to ask for a Doctors referal.
It has ben three years.
