Hello all who is reading this op ed. I am writing to end the perceptions of Multiple Sclerosis or any chronic illness. My name is Laurie Elise Garvin and I was diagnosed almost twenty years ago.
I was a music educator` that was forced out of the classroom.
I still try to keep my brain sharp by reading and writing as much as I can.
I am always volunteering for research to help end this illness.
I am even going back to school to become a journalist.
End the perceptions by not jumping to conclusions; give the person a chance to succeed..
Actions speak louder than words.
Just remember what I have written when one comes across anyone with any type of illness.
Let them try to succeed first.
Have a great day!
Laurie Elise Garvin
